What do you mean there are more than 6 abnormalities? The game is really well done, but I got a bit lost after the sixth one. Maybe adding subtle hints on where to go next, like a dim light or some visual effect when looking at one up close, could help.
You could also make the enemy scarier by adding some screen shake or vision blurring when looking at them. Adding a crouch mechanic could also make the gameplay more tense and allow players to attract the enemy less.
The game was really fun, and I was absolutely not expecting this from the screenshots. Well done!
