I had fun playing the game! The was simple, and it feels good play. I have a few suggestions for the game to expand upon to make the experience even better. So, here are my thoughts:
- The core gameplay is fun, and exciting. The Bullet Echo feel to the game is really good. The game has a solid gameplay loop, and I would love for you to expand upon this.
- I would love for more sound effects. The game lacked zombie sounds, and some eerie ambience.
- I would love for the game to have more guns, like shotguns, pistols, baseball bats, frying pans, etc.
- The game could branch out into exploration as well. Whenever you reach a point, you can freeze the camera, and defend the zombie horde. Then the player could explore the world, collect items, etc. This allows the player to get to experience the world a lot better. I know it is a lot of work, but the potential that it holds to be a memorable experience is good. So, I highly recommend you to continue working on the game even after the jam ends. You can also add story elements and characters to meet and interact with as well this way.
- I would love for the assault rifle to actually work like an assault rifle and not like a pistol, I would recommend the bullets to be not a circle, but a wide line. And you need to hit multiple shots to kill a zombie.
- Of course, I would love to see more zombies, maybe even a boss zombie.
Overall, I am proud of you for what you've made. The beauty in the game is in the potential it holds, and I believe given more time, you will be able to make it into an insane experience and story. I would recommend you to continue working on this game, as it feels really good to play. Would love more exploration and story involved in it. Good job!
By the way, here is the silly little game I made in 3 days. I would love for you to play it, and give me feedback! Have fun!
