This is by far the best, most fun and most faithful digital adaptation of Scoundrel I've played so far (I played at least 5 versions in the last couple of days because I also want to create one in Unity as my first real project, and this is the only version which counts the Ace as a 14 AND only allows you to heal yourself once per room EDIT: the version by BabyTea also does this).

I also really love how you gave the Jokers this unique inventory function, and the option to choose manually if you want to fight with your fists or your weapon, discard the heart or store it, and so on, is really nice.

Three things I would maybe add:

- A score at the end of the run (the stats are perfectly fine but adding or subtracting some of these numbers with eachother to give you a score would come closer to the original)

- a song/tune for winning and losing

- some kind of visual indicator on the screen if a specific card will put you at 0 HP, OR just positive or negative numbers above the cards

All in all, fantastic card game and fantastic adapation of it. Good job.

This is some genuinely really great feedback, of course i appreciate the compliments but the 3 things you'd like to see is extremely helpful. I'm currently working on a new, original card-game rogue-like which is close to prototype release, after that I think I will come back and make these changes to Scoundrel as well as some bug fixes and maybe QOL Features.

I'm glad I could help. Also, I'll definitely try out your game when it releases!

It's really interesting to see indie projects being actively developed and seeing how much they improve over time.
