Demo has old API and full version was updated for latest API some time ago. Try disabling Play Protect from PlayStore until the application is installed.
I'm not aware of any other solution. Are you trying to update previously installed one (such as demo)? Because sometimes you need to uninstall those (You will lose all progress) before installing it.
