I'm getting the same thing. I'm on Windows 11. The screen was completely black for me the first time, but I could walk around. The other two times I tried to load the game it would crash immediately on me
Hmm, I think I could help provide a fix, but it's a bit complicated.
Could you open the file named setup.ini in the game's folder using NotePad? There should be a line that says:
dividetexturesize=2
Change 2 to 4, I hope it fixes the crashing.
