OK, started and kept failing. Drew a map to realize that the order of places stays the same, no matter which path you choose, so there must be a combination that gets it right. No way to figure this out with random tries, too many options and I don't understand the map. Sad.

Each symbol corresponds to a specific object in the stage.
The mountain map shows four symbols, and you should choose to 'turn right' only when you encounter an object that matches one of them.
Following this rule should lead you to the mountain's summit.

Well, I am going to embarass myslef by saying I still haven't figured it out. I thought I figured out which symbols go with which objects, but the map with the red circles and symbols seems to work differently than I think (the map of the climb is crystal clear)...but I enjoyed spending another hour with the game, and that is super important! I'll probably keep trying, because I am stubborn, and eventually, it will reveal itself. Well, of all the games if looked at, this one kept my attention for the longest. :-)
