Loved it, but I just kinda felt like the bot was a little rock when jumping. It kinda felt like gravity was way stronger. But the game itself is very well-done and very interesting!
I looooove your animations. Pixel art is close to my pixel heart! ♥ That being said: Pressing LB on the controller makes the character duck but when you make him stand up again part of the stick floats in the air for a few frames. Also in the animation where you carry the cellphone to a less depressing place the phone grows and shrinks by one pixel with every frame. I'm guessing that is to simulate it bouncing up and down while being carried but if it is not...now you know :D
I really like the idea of making the tutorial a intrusive part of the background but I would have loved to also have the controlls for the gamepad in there. I had to guess how to pick up items and for a second i feared it may only work with the mouse
The browser version was unplayably laggy for me so I broke my own creed and downloaded the game. The exe worked fine. After the phone told me to open the map app I accidentally restarted level 1...lol...that's where I stopped playing so far <<"
TL;DR:
+Awesome visuals
+Cleverly hidden secrets give incentive to explore
Such a cute game! Really easy to get into and lose track of time. One thing I noticed was that a lot of the items didn't want to be picked up, so I eventually go stuck. Can't wait to see what this is like finished!
Overall a nice game. I really like the art style and the premise of the game. A few minor comments:
The save didn't seem to work with the web Version. I wanted to restart Level 2 but my same has disappeared. :(
Jumping sometimes feels a bit unforgiving, as you seem to need to be very precise with jumping off something. (But this might just be me as I play not many platformers.)
Jumping of moving platforms is kinda wonky
I occasionally found it tricky to distinguish between the background, foreground, and the actual playable area. (But again, that might just be me.)
I really appreciate the effort you put into the cutscenes in the game! All in all nice Job!
This is a cool game! It's clear you've put a lot of time and thought into it. I like the music and SFX, they really fit the game vibe. I also really like your plant graphics. I got softlocked at one point because I was trying to move some nails and staples around and got stuck in between them, I think maybe it didn't think the player was grounded? I also felt like sometimes I had to be sooooooo precise with where I was placing objects, it might improve overall game feel if this was a little more forgiving? Anyway overall this game brought me joy, good story and aesthetics. Hope to see more!

-Controlls still a bit clunky

Thanks for the feedback!
Nice grafics, Smart puzzles well designed game. I had to force my browser to a smaler size to make the game run smoothly. Great work!
