My heart fire pile of the game
Viewing post in I'd love to play your game and share my thoughts!
First of all, congratulations on completing and submitting the project! For a game made in 2 days, this looks and feels really good. All of the suggestions below are things you can add once the gamejam is over, to enhance the feel and life in the game. Here are my thoughts and suggestions on the game:
- First of all, the visuals and the atmosphere is reaaaally goood. It really felt like it was cold. Good job!
- The game however lacked, a destination or a win-condition. Or I don't know for sure if one exists. For a game made in such a short time, its okay.
- I would love to hear more subtle nature sounds. Like the sounds of crickets, or bugs, or owls. The winter ambience was perfect, but having a nature ambience on top of that would have been perfect.
- Would love some simple dialogues "It's freezing..." "I miss home... Wish I didn't do 'X'..." somethings like that, that adds a layer to the whole thing. What I'm trying to say is if given more time, I would love for some story elements put through dialogues. Maybe while being stuck in the winter forest, the protagonist goes through a memory lane.
You should be proud of what you've made as it is no easy feat. I'm proud that you submitted the project and that I get to play your game. Continue working on it if possible, as it has enough room to be scaled big. All the best!
By the way, here is my game! I made it barely in 3 days time. Would love for you to play it and give your opinion on it.
