Goodness, I was never popular in school, and was frequently bullied, yet there was often someone who would pass notes back and forth with me (or I'd be part of a chain of passing notes between two distant kids). This nails it (and of course the "cool S" is present as a bonus too!) and I love your handwritten version so much.
