Mmmh.... It's not all that different from your style, as far as I can see.
Especially when you incorporate the video chat style.
Talking on a phone is not the same as hanging out in real life (even in a game.)
But I think a combo would make a game more realistic when it's in a modern context.
(Especially when dating a workoholic. lol)

Your game is actually better.
I think a part of it is because you live up to the promise of the premise in your game.
A Date With Death I recall being a bit...disappointing.
And it is entirely possible that your writing is better and more realistic as well.
It's been a while since I played that game tho.

I just wish they had stuck with her being this genius as well. I mean, she found out who Light was BEFORE L! But after that they made her kind of a dumb blonde and never really utilized that part of her character imo. I preferred L anyways though. Love a gremlin.

Nah they say Misa is goth Lolita, but I'd say she's more soft goth, or mall goth. She only wears lolita style clothes once that I remember. Hot topic is basically the only place you can get things more that style in person, so that's where a lot of my clothes have come from throughout the years, so I'd be considered a mall goth. I don't like the gatekeepy origins though.

Lol, well it's for the Shitty Gal Jam, which runs until March 7th so I'll have at the very least a demo out once that's over. Fair warning- it's another chatsim lmao. Has more video calls though.

I'm pretty sure I have the steam version of a Date with Death. I don't think there's any differences.

With A Date with Death you do see him in person at least once. The thing with Lost and Found is that the only reason the MC and LI are even talking is because MC has their phone. If they met up really early there wouldn't be much reason to keep chatting. I could see Grayson maybe exchanging numbers, because they're a sweetie, but characters like Knox and Arturo (the other two planned LIs from the original concept) not so much. I'm sure I could figure something out though. It's worth putting on the games corkboard.

Yes, but then she wouldn't be half as cute.
Smart people can be sexy, but they're rarely cute.
I think intelligence brings a sort of nihilistic/skeptical work view with it that just doesn't work well with cuteness.
Anyone who is intelligent and looks around in the world will find it very hard to be adorable and cheerful I think.
Hope requires either innocence or delusion.

I got the hang of downloading and unzipping a long time ago.

Eh hard disagree. Plenty of smart cuties! I think we just infantilize cuteness, and thus those who exude it a lot. Like irl I know plenty of bubbly people who are wicked smart, caught up on current events, all that. BUT to each their own!

Yeah I know Misa is smart, like I said she figured out who Kira was before L, the world class detective! I just think they didn't really do anything with that part of her character.

Yeah, that's why I said mall goth. A lot of her stuff looks like things you could buy at hot topic (you can even get death note merch there sometimes lmao). I don't know what I would do without hot topic. Probably have a lot more basic wardrobe since I don't really have any other stores that sell that kind of aesthetic around me lmao

Depending on which country you live in, they may ship it.
For anything else, try Amazon.
It's a bit digging around depending on your style, but they have a lot of cool stuff there.
The only downside is that you need to know your size, and remember that asian sizes are tiny.
(And sadly I relay on a shop assistant to tell me my size, cuz I can never remember it. ^_^;
Not to mention that it has to be shipped overseas. Which tend to cost more than the clothes themselves.)

Also... Female clothes vary in sizes more than male clothes.
Shopping for male clothes is actually a lot easier to do online, since they're so standardized.
(But often also more boring, sadly.)

Thanks for the recs! And yeah I am all too familiar with the fem vs masc clothing issues. It's easier to figure out sizing for masculine clothing, but the options are soooooo limited. I have like three button ups, a nice suit, and a few band ts. That's it. Meanwhile I converted the second bedroom in my apartment into a walk in closet- so that tells you how many fem clothes I have in comparison! Not for lack of want, just lack of options.

Lol, I tend not to go for the darker LIs myself, but I have friends who eat that uuuuup so I'll probably send them some of your recs. I'll thank you for them in advance lmao!

I don't have a laptop unfortunately. Just a PC! Wish I had a laptop as well, but my car has been having issues for years, and is very much on it's last wheels so to speak, so saving for that is the priority over saving for a laptop. Medical debt unfortunately took out all of my savings and I'm still paying off the last $2,000 of it.

Lmao my parents dog is a super hyper, not yet trained, energetic beast haha! She's still a puppy. A big puppy- but still learning. I love her, but I've got my work cut out for me. She doesn't sleep. She wants either constant cuddles, or to be running around a park at mach 10! 😂 Going to have to be running from one end of the house to the other every hour or so because I have to bring my cat with me and spend equal time with him as well of course. Azzy, my cat, doesn't like other animals, and Dolly, my parents dog, is still being trained and very excitable, so they have to be kept very separate lol.
