I definitely agree on the extortion aspect not feeling as pressing as it should. It's meant to be a light hearted game, but that's still an element I want to get more into. Unfortunately due to time constraints I didn't have time to edit or refine anything so it's all essentially first draft still. In a future update the player will actually be able to choose their general personality at the start of the game which will affect how they feel about the extortion- scared, angry, etc, and it'll affect how they react throughout the game (wont lock you out of any endings though, don't worry! You can still date the goth girl, even if she scares you~).  What I had already written for that already wasn't enough for the demo though, so I thought it best to leave it out. It's likely going to be in the first update though! The days already in the demo are going to be expanded upon as I update as well it so expect more of that!

Thanks for the recs! And yeah I am all too familiar with the fem vs masc clothing issues. It's easier to figure out sizing for masculine clothing, but the options are soooooo limited. I have like three button ups, a nice suit, and a few band ts. That's it. Meanwhile I converted the second bedroom in my apartment into a walk in closet- so that tells you how many fem clothes I have in comparison! Not for lack of want, just lack of options.

I don't have a laptop unfortunately. Just a PC! Wish I had a laptop as well, but my car has been having issues for years, and is very much on it's last wheels so to speak, so saving for that is the priority over saving for a laptop. Medical debt unfortunately took out all of my savings and I'm still paying off the last $2,000 of it. 

Lmao my parents dog is a super hyper, not yet trained, energetic beast haha! She's still a puppy. A big puppy- but still learning. I love her, but I've got my work cut out for me. She doesn't sleep. She wants either constant cuddles, or to be running around a park at mach 10! 😂 Going to have to be running from one end of the house to the other every hour or so because I have to bring my cat with me and spend equal time with him as well of course. Azzy, my cat, doesn't like other animals, and Dolly, my parents dog, is still being trained and very excitable, so they have to be kept very separate lol.

Nah they say Misa is goth Lolita, but I'd say she's more soft goth, or mall goth. She only wears lolita style clothes once that I remember. Hot topic is basically the only place you can get things more that style in person, so that's where a lot of my clothes have come from throughout the years, so I'd be considered a mall goth. I don't like the gatekeepy origins though.

I'm pretty sure I have the steam version of a Date with Death. I don't think there's any differences. 

With A Date with Death you do see him in person at least once. The thing with Lost and Found is that the only reason the MC and LI are even talking is because MC has their phone. If they met up really early there wouldn't be much reason to keep chatting. I could see Grayson maybe exchanging numbers, because they're a sweetie, but characters like Knox and Arturo (the other two planned LIs from the original concept) not so much. I'm sure I could figure something out though. It's worth putting on the games corkboard.

I already started and got a first draft of an intro for a second LI, and started mapping out some concepts for expanding on scenes already in game, buuuuuut then I saw a game jam I really wanted to participate in, so that's what I'm working on now. Lol Knox is more grunge/punk than goth, and I'm sorry to say, not a yandere. More blunt and blushy tsundere if I had to pick a trope to shove him in. If you want a satanic emo boy though I'd recommend looking into Killer Chat! Goreboy fits that to a T and it's a great game imo.

Huh, I've played through all the routes and didn't have that issue. Maybe it was a glitch that got patched out? Basically the entire game takes place on a totally not discord server so maybe you're thinking of a different game?

You might like A Date With Death then! It has traditional VN elements on top of the chatsim segments, and you can get dlc that adds nsfw content. I'm certainly not opposed to spicy scenes myself lmao

Yeah no I totally get it! Like I said, pure chat sims aren't for everyone! And yeah, I plan to make the epilogues actually playable like a traditional VN in the future. That was the original plan for them, but I didn't have time to code them in, make the ending CGs I wanted to, etc. I figured I'd leave them until I had time to do them properly, but then the year was ending and I still hadn't found the time, so I decided to just put them in like that instead of letting what I wrote for them go to waste.

Lmao I cosplay, and so do some of my friends, and tbh it’s always a toss up on who wears over the top everyday outfits and gets all done up and gorgeous, and who wears the plainest tshirt and jeans in their day to day. One of my besties practically lives in a plain black oversized hoodie! 😂 Totally get what you mean that it could have shown off who he is more! I designed him in like an hour and just went with it because I got a bunch of work at my irl job dumped on me the same day before I could finish. Definitely a lot I could’ve done better! Looking at the sketches I did for the three original LIs I planned you can definitely see which one got to his second phase of design and which two didn’t haha 😂 

Lmao yeah the early endings aren’t meant to be taken too seriously. They all have some dash of silly. It was going to be even more over the top originally because you can’t just stumble into it, but I decided to tone it down a bit. It was silly enough as is lmao. The main three are the ‘real’ endings. 

No, he’s an only child. One of his best friends has a cat though! Not the one who’s getting a route out first though haha 😂

I like the limitations, time limits, and community with game jams, so I’m still doing them, but I do plan to update this one to make it more what I wanted originally before the cuts had to come in. Going to work on it a bit between work and other jams. I will say though it’s a chatsim! Think like Blooming Panic, Killer Chat, etc. I don’t see it changing to a traditional VN with actual dates and stuff outside of in epilogues, sides stories, etc. It’s just the genre. Better ‘video calls’ would be on the todo list for additions though! Another of my regrettable cuts.  It’s one of my favorite genres of visual novels, but I understand it’s not everyone’s cup of tea!

It was for a game jam during a busy work month for me, so there's a lot I couldn't include, and as much as I would have loved to include cgs to show his cosplaying, his hobbies, etc my art isn't the best and time constraints meant some things had to be cut out. Definitely something I'm considering down the line since I plan to update this game after I finish my next game jam project though!

There's three main endings- the endings you get at the end based on your affection score with him, and then five early endings. I posted a link to walkthrough I made in the first dev log so if you wanted to get the others that's available! It's not too hard for most of them but one is ridiculous so it's a bit harder to get without a walkthrough lol. Most of the early endings are really short.

Heyo! Just wanted to let you know that it wont let me install the game through the itch app. It says there's no compatible versions, but it looks like there is a pc version. This happened to me after one of the updates for my game when I forgot to tick the box saying what each version was compatible with when I uploaded a new build, so it may be that again! Just thought I should let you know! Figured posting here was better than clogging up your comments on the game page. Can delete if you want! Regardless, I'm looking forward to playing this over the weekend. It looks so fun!

Oh dear, I had both of those, but I never got an email. Just checked to make sure and the only emails I got were about the survey and a link to the discord server saying it was to stay up to date on the news for the next jam. Nothing about my game being removed. Could you send me the email again, or let me know who to message on discord for the link?

My game Lost and Found was removed from the submissions and I'm not sure why. I checked over all the rules and don't think I broke any. I have screenshots, it's tagged josei, and I started working on it after the jam started. I'd really appreciate it if someone could explain why it was removed so I can avoid doing that again if I participate in another jam in the future. 

I did update the game recently to add more to it that I didn't have time to before the jam was over (pronoun selection and epilogues), and then about an hour ago someone let me know I forgot to check the box next to one of the files to say it was mac so I updated that, but I didn't see anything saying I couldn't do that on the jams page. This was my first time participating in any jam, so I'm sorry if I did something wrong, or if this isn't the place to ask this. I just wasn't sure where else to go and didn't want to make the same mistake again in the future. 

Fixed it! Sorry about that. Originally when I uploaded I marked the files as 'mac' and 'windows' but upon updating it seems I forgot to check the boxes. If you were downloading from the website it would have worked fine, but the itch app didn't know which files to pick! So sorry for the mistake, it should be all fixed now!

I can work on an ending guide! Most are pretty easy to get, but one is definitely a challenge since it requires max affection.

I'm so glad you love Gracie! I tried to make him a more realistic character and love interest. He's a sweet guy but has his flaws and baggage like everyone else. 

I had to cut out a lot of things I wanted to add to get it submitted in time for the jam, so I'm glad the game didn't suffer for losing out on that. Think more ways for the mc to express themself, custom pronouns, as well as epilogues for all the endings! I'm hoping to add them in in the near future but this is still a completed game as is and I'm really so happy to hear you enjoyed it.
