Love the game by the way haha. VS-likes never fail to be fun, unless the game design is done badly, and you have nailed it. I can't help but think to myself that this is just a reskin of the original game, but it works out, fits every criteria and it's honestly fun so what can I say?
I'm also impressed by how many people went for games with perks and upgrades, it is the first time I have dev'ed one and I have never seen any others before, yet in this jam every 5th game is perk-based. Maybe a lot of them just had a thought-process of winter -> survival -> upgrades -> perks
