Saves prior to 0.20 are bricked, you need to start a new save.
Why is this reply downvoted? Literally almost every game on this website bricks if you try and load a save from a number of versions behind the current one.
Gotcha, no worries. Played through to get caught up and its great, can't wait to see what comes next!
