I played this game again after reading about the latest anti-trans policies in the US. It’s horrifying how much everything has backslid so that the game’s premise is no longer possible here. This game has become almost like a comfort game to me, somehow, just because there’s so little media out there about trans female athletes (and so much hatred whipped against them), and the game humanizes them in a context that doesn’t whitewash how badly they may be treated or how they may react to such treatment.
Thank you for making this incredible game. It feels important to me; I wish there were more stories like it. I hope one day things get better in this country. Until then, well, now is the time of monsters.
