Hey! I know I'm slightly late, but I decided to pick up the game, see how it goes (like the concept so far), but was slightly confused by the "Adventure Phase". There is a chance that a previous hero matches the description of a hero in the new party. In such a case (according to the rulebook), we roll 1d6 and see what happens. However, what happens if the hero retires or doesn't show up? Does the party have one less member (3 instead of 4, for example) or do I replace them with someone new? I was thinking on picking one of these options, before each game (or maybe between "Invasion" and "Setup" phases), depending on if I want an easier time or not, but would like to know what actually happens here. (God, I rambled on) Thanks!

Hi! So in my head when I wrote the rule, if the hero retires or doesn't show up, then it is replaced by another hero. It's just to give a chance for a hero to never return.

Of course you are free to have one less hero or so. I think it could also make the story interesting, like this hero is a coward and runs off without telling their teammates, that kind of story.

Ah, I see. Just wanted to be sure. Didn't run into this situation yet, but it's good to know. Thank you and best of luck for future projects!
