Hello! I'm getting the same error on mine! After seeing this comment I tested on Everdrive OS version 1.16, redownloaded the latest version of the rom and still got the same error. I tried to delete the existing save to see if that were the issue and now it won't even let me start a new game without the LISP stack overflow error. Here is the SRM for you to investigate if you were still interested. 

Curiously enough I was only getting this issue while using the everdrive on an SP, I did not have this issue when running it with a GBA Micro.
Separately, I was able to get the game working on mGBA so I am still able to enjoy. There is a good possibility this is an SP limitation. Just thought I would let you know this issue is still outstanding.

4/15/25 Edit: I tried the rom on an EZflash, same LISP issue on the SP, similarly, it ran fine on the Micro BUT when I tested on another SP it worked, the Everdrive ALSO worked on this other SP. They're both the 001 model, but the one that I Slate modded (slightly older if the serial number is any indicator) is the one having issues. So to be fun I tested the Everdrive on a THIRD 001 and it worked on that one as well (unsure of the age on this one relative to the other two since the serial is worn out)... So in summary it works on SPs (or at least 001s) just not specifically my Slate modded one and Hunterboy's? This is a bit of a headscratcher for me but again, just thought I'd give you an update.
