I actually prefer the "bad" and "normal" endings over the "good" and "true" endings, especially since the Perfect Ending breaks the fourth wall and makes every other ending feel fake after it, even the "true" ending feels fake after the fourth wall breaking ending. 😏
I dislike the "true" ending because it basically claims that even though Aria is alive, she is dead, which makes no sense as it basically denies the reality of her existence but I despise even more the new "good" ending because it is actually hypocritical as it claims that "Aria doesn't have to be Aria because she can be her own person" only to have her memory erased then her being rewritten from scratch by Lewin who designed her new personality all by himself without her having a say in it, so much for "you are free to decide how you want to be".
The "normal" ending is supposed to be a failure because the player failed to discover the truth however it actually makes more sense and offers a better outcome than the "good" and "true" endings as Aria wakes up in the real world as if she merely had a nightmare and life continues normally without anyone having to die to revive Aria, which makes the new "bad" ending claiming that "the quill has to take a loved one to give back another" absurd since Aria is alive in the real world and no one dies in the "normal" ending.
Moreover, the "bad" ending actually already kills the fictional Aria to revive the original Aria and therefore the sacrifice is already made.
The "Perfect Ending" feels as if Aria is fed up of Lydia not being able to write a good ending and decides to take matters into her own hands, which I love! 🤣
