The controls worked fine the first time I booted it up, then no matter what I do, alt tab, fresh install, they just, refuse to work. It was funny for the first bit of playing but, I don't even know what kind of bug this is.
That's strange. It is using the steam version of RPGMaker2003, if that helps. What OS are you using?
just windows 11, I don't think that would cause issues to 2003?
