how do I use zip files oh my god.

I'm using a lenovo Chromebook, does that just not work with these games?

Extract the files and you should be good, at least that's what I do

how do you extract the files chromebooks are so annoying I tried to download the Linux  inx.zip but simply do not know how.

I would love to help you out but I have a desktop... My PC lets me extract it when I try to open the game. Maybe try opening the game and seeing if an "extract files" option shows up.

you have to have a laptop to play these games because chrome doesnt support the extraction of Zip files or anything like that.

im not sure if this'll be the same for you, since i am on a higher end laptop but if it is relatively similar, this goes for almost all zip files/games on the platform:33

also an extra note before i explain, if this is the first time you've tried playing an itch.io game on your computer, there's a possibility it just simply might not work even if you can open the game, because i used to main a lenovo and a majority of low-running games that should've worked on it, did not. -w-

1) first you gotta open up the games file by double clicking on it or right clicking it and hitting open :3 in most cases, once you've downloaded the game then it will show up in your downloads folder, but if not and youre not able to find it you can search for it directly using your taskbar searcher

2) once you've opened the file, you need to extract it :3 all a zip file is is basically a compressed or packed down version of a bigger file, so by extracting it, you're allowing everything to be removed from that file and it makes it usable. for me, the extract button shows up at the top of my file tab, but for you it could be on the side of your screen or you might need to right click the file instead of opening it like i did. make sure you don't have one thing selected in the file either while you extract it, because then it'll only unpack what you have selected.

if that doesn't work, then i'd just look up on youtube or somewhere and try to see if there's some sort of website uu can use to extract files instead or something -w-

3) once the files extracted, you might have to go back to where the original file saved if it doesn't open the extracted file directly, since its possible your computer could have made a duplicate of the file instead. :3 then all you gotta do is go down to the actual application which looks like this, and you should be able to play by double clicking on that file:33

its possible your computer may detect the game as a virus when you try to open it, but if you click on the dropdown menu for "more options" or something similar on the popup, it should allow you to open it anyways. you gotta go to your files and click on the app everytime you open the game in order to play it, or you might be able to pin it to your taskbar ^w^
