I'm having a weird issue where no matter what I do I cannot use my keyboard to advance text. It is opening the menu no matter what even though it is supposed to be able to advance text with either enter or spacebar. Is this a common bug or is it somehow just me?

I have not heard of this bug before. Does this still occur after closing and opening the game again?

I have not tested this game on Linux or Mac, so I am not sure if this is an OS-specific problem.

It finally cleared up, but only after multiple uninstalls and reinstalls. This was in Windows for reference. Current thinking was it was a slightly damaged download as I was using the itch desktop app and my internet is a little spotty at times.
