Hey so I'm not sure what exactly is happening with the larger renpy games I've been trying to download recently (such as ahitr), but extracting them keeps causing errors on my end, clearly this is a problem on my end but I'm not sure how to fix it. I'll leave a full trace back incase anyone can help.

Full traceback:

  File "renpy/bootstrap.py", line 275, in bootstrap

    renpy.main.main()

  File "renpy/main.py", line 427, in main

    renpy.loader.index_archives()

  File "renpy/loader.py", line 263, in index_archives

    index = handler.read_index(f)

  File "renpy/loader.py", line 135, in read_index

    index = loads(zlib.decompress(infile.read()))

So whenever I try to extract the file two files cause errors for some reason:

images_girls_naomi.rpa

images_side_quests_ani.rpa

It just keeps returning as error unknown, my guess is that my pc thinks these files are dangerous, but 7-zip also registers these as errors so I'm at a loss.

I just used the test feature with 7-zip to see what might be the problem, it comes back as a data error for both of the above mentioned files for version 0.7.12r3

Hey Gold Bat,

This looks like a corrupted archive. If you have any anti-virus software, make sure to allow the download through as it can flag the game (and others like it) as a false threat and cause files to be deleted/quarantined!

I figured it was the case. Thank you so much for the help!

so hi, me again, if any one else has had the issues I had, I was able to fix it by redownloading the game. I think when I downloaded the game the first few times the download got interrupted by something and caused the files to go corrupt.

I tried with my anti-virous but it wasn't what was flagging the game (literally disconnected myself from the internet and shut the whole thing down). It was my windows file explorer that was having a hernia. So yeah, if anyone else has similar issues, thats what happened to me.
