i m not great with ero games, but for indies i love indie games
You might try Star sector - RPG/action simulator made in 9 years with devoted modding community and many interactions with world (can be played as tycoon if you go for industry tree or war game if you go for violence or trading/courier game or stealth smuggling game - you might play with all this styles mixed bcs its hard to avoid situations that require sneaking/fighting)
Star Crawlers - indie dungeon crawler with like 40 factions and branching story you have like 8 classes and origin for each character is somehow unique but with benefits, game is fun in case of making combos to destroy enemies or using friends to convince enemies to stop hating you or send you gifts, but might get repeatative bcs it is dungeon crawler
Kenshi - this game have almost no Genre you start it as sandbox RPG and can turn it into RTS or tycoon or whatever will be your direction (also made in 9 years and still updating also decent mod community and big part of the game was made by 1 person)
for me they have similar charm as Strive in case of effort put in the game
Mav have sequel in erly stages running, its kind of fun, but not mush content for now and interactions are limited
