Hello everyone!

We're getting close to the end of the Icehouse Jam about Myths and Legends. You now have 3 days left to submit your game! (check the page for more details about the time remaining - there's a countdown).

Before you submit your game, it could be a good idea to check the main page one last time, just to be sure you followed the rules and meet the themes.

Here's some useful information that could possibly help:

  •  The secret theme was revealed on day1 in case you missed it. It is mandatory, so your game should contain the idea of "FAR AWAY AND LOST" in addition to MYTHS AND LEGENDS.
  • Make use of the jam community, where you're encouraged to post if you have questions - ask us anything!
  • If you're interested in chatting with other participants, we have a Discord server. We've discovered many projects already there!
  • If you're taking inspiration from other independent creators (or artists), please credit your sources of inspiration and be sure that you have permission to use their work.
  • You can post in our Discord server (#jam-showcase channel) or post on Twitter using the #IcehouseJam2019 hashtag! You can also tag #gamedev, #indiedev, or other relevant hashtags for a little more exposure. Don't forget also the hashtags related to your game engine: #madewithunity, #UE4, #madewithvisionaire, etc etc.
  • If you need to talk to us, the easiest is to email us or send a message on Twitter or Discord. They are the fastest ways if you have a last-minute question before you submit
  • The public votes will start just after the end of the submissions! You will have 4 days to download and vote for the games of the participants, and to invite your friends to vote too. We're really counting on you to spread the word. The Judges will then vote a few days later, accordingly to what was announced on the main page.
  • You can follow us on our social networks (Facebook, Twitter) if you want to stay updated after the Jam. This is a good way to keep in touch, to discover the Jam results, and to make sure to see any announcement last year for a possible Icehouse Jam 2!

Also keep in mind that it's normal if you submit an unfinished project. Please don't burn yourself out! As we said on the main page: "we do not wish to place any undue/unreasonable level of pressure on any team or developer." A demo or prototype is more than enough, and you can always continue to work after the jam to improve your project and try to finish it properly if you'd like to.

Also please try to make a nice description of your game when you submit it, tell us about the genre, gameplay, add screenshots and a summary...

We hope things have been fun for you and that you were inspired by the themes. Thanks so much for joining our first jam, and good luck with the final days! We're really looking forward to play your games!
