Ports to retro computers?

Hi John.

I love the "Seedship" game you've developed.

I've been fascinated with retro computers making a rise over the past few years -- most especially the Commodore 64, though I inherited an Apple //e in the early 90s. My question is, would it be okay if I were to port this game to these and other old computers? Or, if you'd prefer to do that yourself, I can recommend a few great emulators for these classic systems.

Either way, let me know what you think of the idea.

Hi Brandon! I'm very happy for you to do this if you want to. I assume these are non-commercial projects since they're for old computers. Just leave my name in the credits (while also adding yours) and it's fine.

My first computer was a Commodore 64  and I wrote my first primitive games in C64 Basic, so seeing Seedship running on one would be kind of amazing!

Awesome. Can you point me to the source code so I can translate it to BASIC?
