Spoilers

To keep this short as possible, as both a fan of writing and the game I honestly don't love how Maria was handled, specifically her whole thing with the "harem acceptance" aspect.

Maria, like Ashley, is a character that seems to have a toxic want of attention. Her webcam stuff, sluttyness (ie going from one man to another in a fly), exhibitionist tendencies, and identity crisis are all signs of it. Fastforward to the movie date and we see Maria try to acknowledge her "love" of the MC who owns a harem. How is this plotline resolved? After a few (in-game) days she pretty much just accepts it and you're both back to fucking...

idk about you but does this really feel right? The self-aware character does some offscreen reflecting and just comes to terms with her place in the harem?

Yes I know this is a h-game at heart but when you start to take things in your writing seriously you gotta expect the audience to start asking some serious questions: Just how self-aware is Maria? Is the MC aware of how toxic this relationship is? What about the other relationships?

Let me also remind you that Maria is an orphan who turned out to be half elf, forcing her to be a slave to the MC which just feels even worse

I know the game is still in development, but I can't shake the feeling Runey wasn't (or isn't) planning on addressing the topic any further, despite how good they usually are at addressing "serious" topics like that.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll look into the progression for that part of Maria's story. But I should note that the reason Maria did that was to make sure she was doing it for herself. She wanted to be free to make her own decision, and that was to be with the player. She always enjoyed the others being around, it wasn't about the harem.

Ok sorry maybe I went a bit headcannony with my understanding of Maria. You can look into development but I don't think there's much of a point now; I just think it would've been far better to have understood her process back then. I also still can't understand why Maria thought she couldn't make the decision on her own and unless I'm forgetting something (likely lol) I don't think we ever got an explanation for that.

I see you've released another update glad to see you progressing. Hope you continue on to eventual completion this is easily the best h-game I've played and the worldbuilding and character writing is some of my favorite in fiction.
