You are currently not receiving any passengers. It is not possible to earn money without passengers. You can upgrade your passengers using points. One point is earned at each end of the game board.
It is not possible to speed up the green dot. It will arrive at the other end when it is time for it to do so. As far as I can see the game is working exactly as intended.
