I played up to 16 points to see if anything new would happen. It looked like the boulder started smoking at around 6 points, but I'm not sure what effect that had.
I think there's a perfect pace to use for most situations, but it gets messed up if the buses collide. I think that and the sudden jerks to the side become the main challenge after a few levels.
