That also happens on the PC version. I don't know if it was intentional or not, but even in the PC version, when you click on the burger, even though your health is at the maximum limit, your health increases.
I think it might be intentional, a quicker way to buy some heals rather than having to go back and forth to the beginning each time. Though I can't say for sure if the over healing is.
