A peak words with you.
This one, despite being the shortest and taking the least to make, might actually be your best one yet, atleast in my book. Using the limitations of the game jam, I honestly believe you managed to say more with less.
The art is great, it does its job and the girl's design does have a certain uncanny feeling, expecially as she began getting closer. The music was great, too, it really elevated the entire experience, expecially when things were getting more intense. The story is alright, but what I want to praise is the writing. I'm a huge fan of... "funky" writing, and the dialogue around the end really gave me the good brain juices (I will not elaborate). At the end, everything had its part in selling the feeling of exasperation, so props to you!!
One thing I would have to criticize is the strange decision of having the remaining words count at the end of every line. I get it if it was your way of keeping up with the word count, but leaving it in the final product felt like a weird choice to me. It didn't affect me with everything (except the initial "huh" and the knowledge as to how much of the game is left), and I'm not necessarily suggesting you should patch it out, but it was the only complain I had and I felt like I had to express it.
Overall, this is really good, really hitting the spot in a way your other games haven't before. This is a great short game, Moriko-sama, be proud of it :)
