Try running the server and client with a console.
And when he is disconnected there should be some error logging in the console.
If it's there - please post it here.
If not - then it might be some network/firewall issue.

There are StartServer.bat and StartClientConsole.bat
Try changing the .bat to .sh
I think it should work.
