Very nice. Are you going to rework player binding to be similar to this or does it specifically look like this to make it easier to keep track of what NPCs are wearing what and reduce memory usage?

Its more of a memory sink unfortunately :) The main issue with the player binding system is that 1) its designed for NPCs to restraint the player, not herself, and 2) it has many effects like cursed items, etc, which dont have programming to work on NPCs.

It will be an incremental process, but eventually you might be able to put cursed stuff on NPCs. Will take a while though
