I'm so excited to try this out -- JB's got a boyfriend now, and I haven't yet seen any events for matchmaking the remaining boys, but I'm crossing my fingers that they'll start happening!

It's now over a month from the boyfriend announcement, and no sign of an encouragement event yet! Not sure what could cause that: game is playing as usual, I'm playing from the game files, I put everything from the download into there. I'll keep playing a bit and hopefully it'll pop up?

Yeah, got together in December and it's March now and I'm not seeing any new events. Let me know if there's maybe somehting I could do to fix that? I really do want to see these.
Did you place the mod's files correctly? If you put the files nested into their original file (named 'XOXO Droplets Mod') in the 'game' folder rather than directly in the game folder on their own, the game won't acknowledge that they exist. It should look something like this (it may be slightly different depending on how you have the files sorted ofc):
Yes, it's unnested and looks like this! I readded all of them last night to, I guess, just see if it does anything? so I hope that doesn't mean I have to fully restart -- I just put them all in there again and so I don't THINK so, since they were already there. But I do think I did everything right and I'm not sure what the problem might be!
When you say 'fully restart' - did you load a file from before you got the mod? If so, that right there is the problem. You have to start from an entirely new file or the mod will not load.
If not, then I don't know what the issue could be. I don't have a mac so the issue might be something to do with that, but I do hope not.
Nope, I started from a new game after uploading the mod! I just meant I'd be sad to have to start a fully new game again now and lose all the progress, but -- no, it's a totally new file. :( I guess it's possible the mod doesn't work on Mac, but it looked so promising so I didn't think there'd be an issue!
Okay, well. Hm. The only other possibility coming to mind is that you dumped Everett before the event was supposed to be triggered. If you're not getting any errors then I doubt it's the thing I posted about recently, but given you've apparently done everything else properly I doubt you dumped Everett either since I warn against that on the mod's site... I'll look into it and see if something's off with the relationship announcement for Everett in... December you said?
Yes, December. And I haven't dumped him, for sure! My concern is just that maybe the mod doesn't want to work on a Mac for some reason, which is a bummer, because I really would love the chance to make these jerks date! If it's not possible I do understand, but thanks for your help and for taking a look. I still think this is such a cool mod idea, and I still love XOXO Droplets, so if it's ever possible I'll definitely try to play with your extra content in it. Unfortunately, it just seems to not trigger despite me following all the instructions, so I can't think of much besides it being something to do with Mac if it was made on PC. The game works on both, though, and I've added things like DLC to a Mac version the same way before (like for Our Life -- I've added all the additional events!) so I'm not sure why it wouldn't work. Thanks for trying, though, and I really do hope to get to play with the mod someday, pfft.
