Aww thank you so much! I was introduced to poetry as a child, when my 2nd grade teacher would read from Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein. I loved his humor, heart, and silly yet poignant style. There's been some influence there over the years I suppose. I do write some less simple things and have experimented with different forms over the years, but I really like the mini zine format for the ones I've shared so far.
