Very easy to get going and having fun! great job
Cool style choice! Functions well and is easy to understand. Enemies do take a some time to kill but after you start circle strafing them they're basically useless against you lol. I know the story of the game is about ascension but nothing really exhibits that mechanically or visually. Good job anyway though!
I agree that the "Going Up" theme is not really strong at all in the game except the fact that the player enters a tower and "climbs" stairs at the end of each intermediate level. The Enemy AI definitely is very simple, but I did purposely make them much weaker towards the end after some play testing feedback. Thanks for playing and commenting!
Extraordinary art but to me seems like the music does not fit very well. Either way good job!
Thanks a lot! This was the first time I've ever "made/composed" music. I have zero music background and I was only trying to make something sound OK. I agree that the music definitely does not fit and definitely does not change/layer well with the atmosphere/game type.
I liked the cute sprites used and the boss character at the end! Great Game :)
Thank you!!
Very atmospheric game. I liked the soundtrack as well. However, the cursor is too small, at least on PC. It took me quite a while to find it. Also, enemies have smaller hitboxes than their sprites. Is this intentional?
Thanks for your comment! Making the cursor customizable was definitely something I thought of but ended putting it as a "nice to have" before all the other things in the game. The hitboxes aren't intentionally smaller, but it was a lack of polishing towards the end of the jam. I believe the hitboxes are based on their original prototype models of Unity's 3D spheres/cylinders but I didn't take the time to manually edit the colliders.
