Wow you weren't kidding when you said you took a spin on an existing concept.
Really like how you applied whether a tile is true or false. Made me double check and actually problem solve instead of running straight through the level.

Some feedback though, the signs "TRUE / LIE" can be unclear at times, as sometimes it is not obvious as to what tile they are pointing to. You might want to use something more obvious like a color overlay on tiles or putting the sign directly on tiles, rather than having the sign point tiles. Also the game could use some sound.
