Odd time sig on Perils is very nice, room wise sound decent as well prolly one of the best submissions imo. The only thing i hard disagree on is marching band, almost military type beat percussion that sounded super dry for some reason and was not "wierd" enough time sig wise compared to whats going on around it. 2nd one is nice as well, idk if is me but i hear organ cracking on upper end.

Thanks a lot, I love to hear that this is "prolly one of the best submissions" :D! And I appreciate the feedback too.

The "2nd one" you refer to is likely my '#4 Fragile Prayers', which is actually my song for the next jam (hence the '#4' before it). I apparently accidentally made it visible already, it is now hidden again - I will unhide it when this rating period ends. Please don't consider that song for this jam, I apologize :)
PS: I don't hear any cracking myself, even after extensive listening. I'll keep it in mind if other people have the same feedback.

Nice! I loved the glockenspiel with ominous piano moments, and then when the spooky sounds appear I was like "YES!". If it does not exist, I think you managed to create a new genre: "spookepic". Loving this, pretty energetic, dark and at the same time hopeful vibes. And not to forget the mix was great.

Thank you so much :D. I really appreciate all the things you said!
And I also love the theremin, which is likely what you call the "spooky sounds". I just needed to include it somewhere ;)

Oh, yeah, thank you so much, that's what it's called then! Haha, my total pleasure!

This song is mixed well and kudos for going with a 7/8 time signature.

Developer

Given that my songs in the past have always had poor mixing, this is a big compliment for me. Thanks! For now, I've had enough of weird 7/8 time signatures haha

that odd time makes it really disorienting and works super well with the spooky tones! Awesome job.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Glad you like it :). I hope it wasn't too disorienting 😅

Submitted(+1)

Don’t worry, it’s good disorienting 😉

splunking down the wells of the afterlife. looking for the plants and leaves that are my family members in past lives. hoping to pluck the right pedals.

that is the cave vibes i got from this. very mystical magical spooky. who knows what i will find in this cave. good or evil? o.O

Developer

Love your interpretation of the song. I could totally see that fitting too. Really cool, thanks :D

The odd time sig really works well with the song theme, it does feel like peril. that was rad

Developer

Ah, I'm glad you find the time sig fitting! I wasn't sure about it myself. Thanks a lot :)
