I use Studio One to compose, with many plugins from EastWest, and a few other places. In an attempt to make it spooky halloween style, I threw in a decent amount of modulations and chromatic stuff. Beyond that, I threw whatever I could together so I could get this done in time because I basically only had today to get this piece done and it is now literally 20 minutes before the deadline

ooo i like the choices of instrumentation here, and the various musical ideas throughout. i REALLY enjoyed the chord progressions at 1:09, stuff like that is my jam. if i could ask for anything more, it'd just be a more powerful/full sound (maybe stronger bass section?). regardless i really enjoyed this overall, awesome job! :)))
Nice composition! I genuinely enjoyed the section at 1:08 with those epic chord changes. Also there was a section in the middle (~0:44) with some really cool “boss fight”-y syncopated guitar hits.
I was immediately impressed by the big and ominous soundscape you created. Electric guitar as a lead with a choir doubling makes for an energetic and spooky melody. Having them soar over the power chords and stadium drums gives this a boss-like feel appropriate for the theme. This feels kind of like the middle phase of a boss battle, like there was an energetic first phase where the boss is introduced, and this is the next phase where he is injured but somehow grows stronger, but he’s not quite at full strength yet! This was really fun to listen to, great work! Thank you for sharing!
Great that you managed to pull through! Would be great to hear how it sounds like after two days (not that it sounds bad at all). I think your ideas worked well together, I liked the heaviness and the slow, deliberate feel.
For a piece of music made in just a few hours, it's impressive!
The heavy ambience provided by the backing vocals, the guitar and the slow tempo really works well for boss music.
The only hitch is at the end, where the melody seems less "finished". It gives the impression of undergoing the modulations rather than going through them as you did at the beginning of the piece.
I hope my feedback is clear :)
You know for only having one day to do this, it turned out pretty well! It fits the boss battle theme super clearly, and the instrumentation sounds great. The transition from the beginning into a faster, more guitar-led part is very natural and everything just works, you know? I wouldn't say this song is super Halloweeny but without a doubt it fits.
Great job, hope to see you again! Thank you for completing something despite being so busy with life. I feel you there.
