big fan of the borrowed chords! having a bass foundation in major with occasional minor/diminished chords in the accompanying sounds creates a nice sense of occasional unsettlement. the vibes and groove are pleasant to my ear, and i enjoyed listening to it (a couple of times, actually). good stuff! :)
Not only is the production top notch, this achieves that “Halloween party” aesthetic very well!
This raises an interesting philosophical question: what if there are final bosses that are content with being chill af?
Smooth and getting the funk on. :) Was not expecting that, a lot of little details that I really loved, especially in the drums. Liked the melody as well, fit's the Halloween theme, didn't give that much of a boss vibe though. Would be perfect for a puzzle platformer or a spooky action adventure. Great moment when the bass/drums/organ kick in after the intro, had me bopping my head immediately. Great job!
The organ and groove make this feel like a song that would be a background track for a movie from the 1980s and gives a certain flavor to what kind of boss battle this might be! There is definitely a light-hearted quality to this that makes me think the boss is maybe a little goofy, such as a character from a WarioWare game for example. I really like the groove and the pacing of your track feels really natural. Good job and thank you for sharing!
Wow this is all over the place and wild in the best way! Honestly this is a very funky boss battle song and I appreciate it. Overall, this is a great song.
However, as a submission, I wasn't really getting too strong "boss battle" vibes. Would love to see some more intensity and a sense of threat added on to this!
