Subject, Skills, and Grade Level
This game teaches compassionate decision-making via themes of rumors and prejudice, ecosystem sustainability, and end-of-life care. Each group of players must decide how their six forest animals will handle a dying mother bear and her cub. It's for students 10-11 years old or older. It includes calibration tools for teachers to focus primarily on just one of those themes, whichever best fits the class.

Time & Players
This game can be run in 1 hour, in groups of 6 players. A class can either be divided into multiple groups of 6, or each of the 6 characters in the game can be expanded into a faction with the same motivations and beliefs. (This latter option is not in the game yet, but I will add it in a future revision.)

Rules, Tools, & Assessment
The game is set up for the teacher / facilitator to control two NPCs, a mother bear and her cub. Each group of 6 players should only need to interact with those characters from time to time, allowing the teacher to remain out-of-character to narrate their actions and supervise the class. Materials needed to play include a chair, paper and writing implements, and optionally a plush bear cub and a woodland play space. There is no built-in assessment tool, but the game may be useful for identifying students prone to cruelty or an empathy deficit.
