Which Theme from the list did you choose to implement in your game?

Killer In The Darkness

How did you choose to implement your chosen Theme in your game?
literally cut off power to lights and have a robber loose, spooky

Did you implement any of the optional Bonus Challenges, and if so, which ones?
i think i managed all 3, but the 2nd one, you need to turn on the lights so that part becomes dark again, but i think i definitly did 1 and 3 pretty well

Imma be honest, this one seems to be kind of broken.  The Ai seems to be a bit unfair and I where he could catch me sometimes from half way across the house.  I think the map is a little too small for this type of gameplay.  But congrats on having all three bonus challenges implemented!

so i haven't watched the vidoe yet, idk what you mean by "could catch me sometimes from half way across the house", if you mean detect you than that is how it supposed to be, yeah the map is unfair but the AI is easy to outsmart (for me and for some of my friends).

There are some good hiding spots, under the table (slows down detection speed), behind TV, and inside the cabinets in the kitchen (it's not indicated that you can open those), the garage is really hard and risky but has an amazing payoff, for me the AI bearly went in to the rooms, it's really person dependent, i am amazed how well Puppet combo does this, and i implemented the AI in 2 days.

All i could do is tweak the AI or add some walls? but idk how, because for me it seems okay, i will watch the video today. Thanks for playing.

So basically what happened was (and this may not have made the video) but he left the garage and found me by the book shelf where the keys supposed to be.  And I was never able to outrun him sadly.  This isn't my type of game either, so more than likely it's me, but in my playthrough, it just felt unfair.  Once the video is uploaded I'd love if you could watch it and see if it's me being stupid, and don't be afraid to call me out on it!

so the AI saw you from across the map, damn, that can happen, so there is a small problem that the game is Frame based, so for lover fps (10) the AI dosent detect you at all but for high i guess it's instant detection (VSync is on), i had my fps at 75, i could move detection to be on FixedUpdates (only way to turn off vsync if you play on Low).

Also you get this flashing Post Processing when you are getting detected so that's an indicator, the distance fall off is Linear but i somehow should make that to be a Lerp, that should be way better.

Gotcha.  So the video is locked at 60 (not sure how well it looked) but I think it was running around 75-80.  And yeah, I did figure that when the screen got weird he was close, but and I think the video shows it too, he was in a room with me and it wasn't going weird but when he left it did start going weird.  I did enjoy it, what little I could actually play, and would've loved to see the other endings, but I don't have the patience for that lol

xdd, yeah, this is a trial and error gane, a small rage game? Also he can hear you move chairs and hear you walk but that should only bring the AI close not make his detection % go up.

I am really interested in the video but it's taking some time to process, so i might not be able to watcht it, but thank you for the feedback, 1.2 most likely tomorrow.

Yeah him hearing you move chairs and walk makes sense, buts also able to hear me while I'm standing still for some reason too, which is annoying.
