How did you choose to implement the Theme: Feral Beast in your game?
Each of our 5 horror authors wrote stories involving a Feral Beast. Some as the antagonist, some as the player, and some as other, tragic figures.

Did you implement any of the optional Bonus Challenges, and if so, which ones?
1 of the stories (Two Rings) has the player set traps to keep the beast at bay.
2 of the stories (No Such Thing as an Alpha and Two Rings) contain Werewolves and their transformations.
All of the stories make use of a Night & Day lighting system (in the campfire), some incorporate mechanics or narrative elements.

Great job on this! I read through all the stories and really liked the presentation!

An Interactive Fiction anthology with solid ambient music and well-themed graphics. The presentation and use of theme was pretty great.

"Bad Dog" was my favorite. The writing and characterization in "Bad Dog" is on point, and it's the only one to introduce an additional game mechanic other than branching choices: a "Trust" system. On top of that, it offers the most meaningful (i.e. character and resolution-driven) choices out of all the stories.

The trap choices in "Two Rings" were a nice touch, and for such a short scenario, felt like it had a ton of branching options. Though the writing was a bit stiff.

The other stories often had massive blocks of text with one option, which felt like it was turning the player into a simple reader. Though big points to "Visitor" for its suffocating atmosphere. Big Jackson vibes there.

I loved the stories and the background music. I also noticed the background lights would change depending on which part of the story I was, which was pretty cool.
Beautiful scene with the fireplace. The UI elements were great, every little detail was well thought out.

This is an excellently handled, minimalist concept. Unfortunately my laptop can't handle Unreal Engine too well, so I couldn't finish all the stories for fear it would melt my cpu, but the ambience of the fire and the forest really added to the atmosphere of everything I did read through. I'm not sure how many endings each story has and how meaningful the branches truly are, but they added a nice amount of deliberation to the reading process and generally felt meaningful in the stories that I did experience. The background music was really relaxing too and helped me get into the scary but cozy atmosphere the game has.

Thank you for the wonderful write up! We've just updated the build so that you can change the games performance settings with pageup/pagedown. Now it should play nicer on a wider range of hardware. Have a great week!
