Noob here, any suggestions on where the theme: Unexpected can be taken? Trying to brainstorm and as expected I'm coming up dry. Thanks
Well, this is my list :
1. Controls do unexpected behaves - up becomes down - This can be based on time or where you are in the level - think Player is a science experiment, and the mutation are unexpected.
2. Unexpected birth - Drive your significant other to the hospital - Cars get in the way and pedestrians.
3. Star Trak does in anomalies - so you need to solve this - There is a game like this not sure of its name, but you can just do the unexpected anomalies parts like time or gravity
4. Rhythm game where you need to react to the Unexpected - Change in note or base drop.
5. Use unexpected weapons to kill the bad guys - i.e. guns do not kill just stunning, but a table kills
6 . Story-driven game that gives an unexpected plot - The good guy is really the bad guy - Take any Murger she wrote and use that as a base - The one she is on the bus is a nice one.
7. A RPG game where you have to give up your stats when you level up
8. Stealth game where you use the light, not the dark - Land of opposites.
