How did you incorporate the prompts?
I used all three prompts:
For "Split in Two", I wanted to avoid literally splitting an object in half. Instead, I split the screen: the left side represents the past, and the right side represents the future.
I incorporated "retro" not just in the graphics (on the left screen) but also in the gameplay. By letting the player interact with a bygone era, the theme becomes central to the experience.
It’s a classic "platformer" with jumping mechanics, buttons, crates, collectible ; all the tried-and-true elements.
Did you use any assets that you did not create? List and credit them
Except the font (Digital Disco: https://www.dafont.com/digital-disco.font) I created all the resources for this jam only.
How do you feel about the game you made?
I like it! But I didn't have that much time... I was not inspired by the music but I did my best anyway.
I was able to talk about some important topic so, that's good ;)
What can we improve for the next jam?
I'm participating on Discord, let's continue!

Awesome work! I really like the art styles of both eras!
Thank you!
Love the concept! Please add checkpoints because I managed to lose a couple of times; once just to see what would happen and once because I'm bad at the game.
Ahhh the checkpoint texture is created but I did have enough time... I hope you didn't rage-quit ;)
Thanks for playing!
No I finished it. The future was at stake.
This game turned out pretty great. I liked the idea of the "soul link" that stretches through time. The act of cleaning up the past and making the future better is pretty good. Makes me wonder, what will me of tomorrow be grateful for, that me of today could do...
I'm glad to see that a game jam can also provoke philosophical questions :)
Thank you for your feedback and for playing!
