Is it okay to use scratch as my coding program

Yeah I made my games with scratch / turbowarp and packaged it on turbowarp. I just want to make sure that it's allowed. And is it allowed to submit a money costing game here. Thanks!

Howdy, as per rule 6: Tools & Engines: Use any tools or engines that get your creativity flowing—whatever works for you!

So you can use Scratch or anything else you feel like.

For your second question, i dont believe there are rules against making it cost money, but you have to ask yourself, is anyone going to pay for a game made in 4 days. Then along with that, you will perform very poorly in a jam if people have to pay to even give you a rating, most people wont. What I would suggest is work on a free demo version for the jam, then afterwards youve gained some interest then try to create a version to sell that is feature complete.

Hi there!

Yes, using Scratch or TurboWarp to create and package your game is absolutely allowed; as long as the game meets the overall theme and rules of the jam, you're good to go!

As for submitting a paid game: typically, game jams encourage free submissions so everyone can easily access and enjoy each other's work. However, if your game has a cost, you can still submit it as long as you clearly state that in the description and ideally offer a free demo or jam version if possible. Transparency is key!

Let me know if you have any other questions and best of luck with your submission!
