Thanks for the demo! Very amazing for a solo dev!

You're showing up the rest of us solo devs, haha. Lovely art and really fantastic juice--I'm super impressed with how many animations and effects you managed to incorporate so smoothly in such a short jam. It did leave me wondering whether there's going to be an actual deduction element in the finished game, though, or whether it's going to be purely a visual novel.

Developer

There will be a lot more gameplay elements from this point on. There will be multiple possible suspects with you putting a case together to have a final interview with who is (hopefully) the culprit (although you can get it wrong).

amazing style and the art is so awesome! i see lots of potential here but i think it’s too ambitious for a game jam submission because there isn’t much to do right now in the demo - it feels like i don’t have much interaction or agency in the case. all the best to you on this project!

Developer

When I first started this, it was just going to be a quick case, but then I realized that there was a potential for a longer game story once I really started working on it/writing and, yeah, just made it a demo for the jam and decided to expand it a lot. Thanks!

bruh why did you guys do moistcritikal so dirty. Usually you would embellish a little bit but this version is a one to one exactly correct version of the real thing, including the backstory, occupation and ongoing murder investigation

Developer

It's just one guy, me, and it was all done with much love. I started sketching out "Slick" and realized he looked like Charlie when doing it so I just leaned into it, made him even more of a resemblance, changed his name, and made him a streaming DJ as opposed to just a DJ as he once was.
