That's a good question. I have no idea how Gamemaker structures its stuff, but from a quick google search, it seems the idea is having very atomic scripts that you can mix and match in the editor, correct? If so, it might be super hard/impossible to actually keep it down to a single script structure. But if you can do that, feel free to go ahead!
