Creative Vision / Rationale / How Did You Incorporate the Theme
Our vision for Bananza was to create a hilarious 2D platformer where helping others is just as important to achieve your goals! We aimed to ground players in nostalgia while ensuring progression feels fresh through unique quests for each collectible. Generosity is the core mechanic: Bananaguy can acquire Power Coins for his pursuit of the Golden Banana only by performing generous acts for inhabitants. The player's journey includes over 80 distinct acts of kindness but doesn't feel like a chore :D

I’m shocked this doesn’t have more ratings, this is such a fun game! The banana people concept is silly, the art is well done, and the gameplay incorporates the banana aspect in a uniquely fun way. Echoing what the other comments said, this could be a full game/demo on Steam already with how polished it is. One of my favorite entries, great work!
thanks a lot for playing! yeah, i haven't posted about it much on community as i've been away for a bit haha. we're planning on adding more content and putting it on Steam after the jam, so it's flattering to hear from so many it's already on par with that quality XD
The movement is polished to the point of “jump buffering” and “coyote time”... There are many characters to speak with, and several large areas to explore. An impressive amount of content to have created entirely within the time constraints.

Incredible what you’ve been able to achieve in such a short time! Haven’t had time to finish it, but I got to the part with the arrows, and had lot’s of fun playing it so far. Probably the most polished and biggest game submitted to this jam that I’ve played till now.

This game is awesome!, this can be a full game on Steam or any other platform, the devs really do the possible to the players feel good when are playing, it's just crazy how is the game feel of this game make me everytime thinking in play again, good job!!
