UP2037603: Although a tiny bit awkward at first, the game's controls quickly become easy enough to use. I like that you've added in the combat element as well as dodging and got it all working smoothly together.

I like the parallax background and overall art style of the game. Took me a few tries to figure out  what i should be avoiding but overall it was fun to play.

Game play is very nice and the art style is cool. The spikes however are hard to tell apart from the game in places. Shooting does seem pretty cool but it doesn't look like the boss so maybe think about adding damage animations or just removing that function all together.

Overall pretty fun and a nice game!

Has some quite enjoyable gameplay and seems like a promising game. As said by Sam, the assets are hard to tell apart from the background, I would recommend having a larger colour pallet as I kept hitting the spikes and dying without realising why I was dying as I thought they were a background element. Though I enjoy having the shooting mechanic, it feels like it doesn't effect the gameplay since there is no visual sign of it damaging the enemy. Overall though, feels like it'll be a solid game some further development.

Gameplay is responsive and works well for what is there. The interactable assets are quite difficult to tell apart from the background, and the parallax looks a little off. Also, sometimes the enemy gets very close to the player which makes it very difficult to dodge the projectile. To make this game better I would focus on making the sprites more distinctive. (Also having the start button function onClick, but the gameplay work with spacebar is a little jarring).
