Nice submission. This was a really neat looking game, love the menu and the thumbnail for the game, it really jumped out from the rest of the submissions, I like the art style and the colour palette for it. The gameplay was good however there was one issue that I have seen in some other submissions which is that you can't really damage an enemy without receiving a hit yourself. If there was one thing I would add to this game it would be sound effects and maybe a background track to make it more complete and cover all aspects of your standard game. Really cool submission, Well done!

This is a really good submission. The characters and the animations look great as well as the different attacks. There were a few minor glitches that can be ironed out, however, I could not reproduce them. This was overall a good game, however, it would have been really good to have sound or just a simple background track to give the game some more life.

Very nice submission, definitely matches the project criteria, a good theme that matches the rest of the game well. My main issue would be that fighting in this game seems to just be a matter of hitting and taking hits, except you don't know how much health your enemies have and if you're targetting the enemies in the second level, the bullets seem relatively difficult to dodge whilst fighting.

A really good take on the beat em up style game. I felt that the art and animations were really well done and aesthetically pleasing. The gameplay was smooth and worked well. However, i would've liked to of seen a enemy health bar to see how many hits they have left and also some sound to create a better immersion. Overall a really good go.

TAKE MY STARS!

I actually really enjoyed playing this game a lot. It is very good. I love the art and the animations were really good!

Could have done with some music/sound effects maybe? And perhaps a health bar for the enemies. Also there was a mini glitch on the second stage where the enemies would glitch and kinda teleport away.

Overall, really good game well done!!

This is a really interesting premise that you don't really utilize to it's full potential. Maybe it's a matter of there not being enough time to put into the project, but it felt as if you stripped away the theatre aspect of this game, there won't be any difference. A change to consider would be to implement some sort of audience that responds to the player's action, such as cheering when a blow is delt or groaning when the player gets hit. This would not make sense without the theatre aspect, and thus making the theme fit better with the game.

Ignoring that part, the game is still pretty good. Sure, there were some bugs once I got to the second level, such as walking of the stage, moving the exit further away from me without walking towards it, etc. but the overall experience was still pretty good. The graphics were a part of this project I thought was handled best, as the textures felt coherent and thematically fit each other. Although they are a bit unpolished and could use some clean-up, it was one of the better aspects of the game.

The idea behind this game is really really cool!I had tons of fun playing it and the visuals looked pretty neat. The only thing  I would say to improve would be the fact that you could just walk to the exit in stage 2 without fighting anything. Other than that it's an amazing game that everyone on your team should be really proud of!!!!! :DDD

An interesting submission, both visually and through gameplay. I like the choice to make the whole thing being set on a stage, fairly unique premise to which to build off. Characters are decently animated and the change from left and right to forward and back is also a unique twist on the genre, well done.

Player feedback is very helpful and I feel like your game is lacking some parts here and there that could go a long way to improving experience. The small coloured circles work for the most part but perhaps there are better options that you could have used instead, perhaps a red flash on the character. Think of games like Minecraft when you hit enemies. In addition, being unable to dodge attacks whilst dealing your own can make the experience a little frustrating at times.

Overall, this is a twist on the beat-em-up genre and that with some polish, expansion, and a lick of paint, this would be something that I could confidently see on a marketplace of sorts. Good work.

Wow, what a great concept! The curtains, audience and stage props totally sell it and make the game memorable. The sprite work is fantastic, all it needs is a few sound effects (maybe some gasps and cheers from the audience) and you'd have a really solid prototype for a great unique fighting game.

I feel like the combat could benefit from giving some kind of feedback to the player when they hurt the enemy, I found myself kind of getting near them, mashing the key and hoping for the best. I also think the enemies on the second level could move towards the player, as I didn't really have any incentive to engage them or use cover.

I really love this idea, it would be great to see you take it further!

A really fun little experience!

The theme is really interesting, and the visual design as a whole flowed together extremely well. The first stage of the game was basically as good as it could be, however the second stage had a few issues for me.

I should start by saying that the idea for this stage is really, really good, and I was smiling throughout the whole thing my first time through, but I did find that it was really hard to perceive how close I was to the exit of the stage. Another thing I noticed was that the shots from the back of the level go through the edges of the barrels, so hiding behind some areas of them was ineffective. While the barrels issue can be solved by perhaps fixing up a few collision problems, I'm honestly unsure about the depth perception issue I found for me, but the concept for it as a whole is extremely impressive to begin with.

Really fun time, well done!

A great game overall, liked the idea and name which really stood out to me for this type of style of game, I liked how you made use of left and right click to attack which made me want to see the different types of attack that would be seen from each click or hold, the second part surprised me with the moving background which I liked about this game the most and that more enemies would appear whilst being shot at and having the barrels to hide behind whilst trying to run forward. I think if sounds and sound effects was included within the game then this would be perfect, but a great attempt of the game overall!
