Unfortunately customers stop moving after a while but I like the idea.

Thank you so much for trying it out! And about that, we later noticed that the exit-object is missing in the uploaded game build - the customers would move there and leave otherwise. Going to re-upload a fixed version after the jam!
Are the exit objects at the bottom of the screen? One customer got stuck in the top row.
The missing object creates problems for the pathfinding algorithm, so they could get stuck pretty much everywhere.
